EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER

My name is Jim McCreary, and I founded Lived Truth Advocacy Center to help individuals and families navigate complex systems with clarity, confidence, and support.

My work is grounded in lived experience and years of learning how real-world systems operate. I understand how overwhelming it can feel when answers are unclear, information is scattered, and decisions carry real consequences. I’ve lived that reality, and it shapes how I work with others.

I support clients through health challenges, care coordination, documentation, insurance issues, and long-term planning. I help organize information, identify patterns, ask the right questions, and build practical strategies that fit each person’s situation.

I also work proactively with individuals and families who want a structured, prevention-focused approach to stability, performance, and well-being.

As an independent advocate and advisor, I serve as a steady partner in complex situations. I help people evaluate options, communicate effectively, and make informed decisions aligned with their goals.

I work directly with every client. No handoffs. No scripts. Every case is personal.

My role is not to replace professionals. My role is to help you work with them more effectively and confidently.

EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER

My passion for patient advocacy grew out of lived experience, long before I ever imagined doing this work for others.

Over the years, I navigated complex medical systems for myself and my family, and I learned firsthand how easily patients can be overlooked, misinformed, or left without clear direction. Confusing diagnoses, fragmented care, and rushed appointments can make people feel powerless at the exact moment they need clarity most.

In my own health journey, I consulted multiple specialists, underwent countless tests, and spent years searching for real answers. I invested enormous time, energy, and resources, often without receiving explanations that truly matched what my body was experiencing.

Like many patients, I was forced to become my own researcher, advocate, and coordinator just to protect my well-being. I learned how to read medical reports, track patterns, ask better questions, and push for deeper investigation when something did not add up.

I often think about how different that journey would have been if I had access to a knowledgeable, independent patient advocate early on. Someone who could have helped organize information, communicate effectively with providers, and guide decisions with both evidence and lived understanding.

Since then, I have dedicated myself to helping others navigate complex medical situations, especially when systems fail to connect the dots. I work with individuals facing chronic illness, unexplained symptoms, long diagnostic delays, medication complications, and care coordination challenges.

Through this work, I discovered my purpose: to stand beside patients when they feel unheard, overwhelmed, or uncertain, and to help restore clarity, dignity, and direction.

What a private health advocate provides

  • Peace of mind during medical uncertainty, stress, and exhaustion.

  • An ethical, independent advisor who works directly for you.

  • Research support to identify appropriate specialists and next steps.

  • Clear organization of medical records and timelines.

  • Help asking the right questions and understanding options.

  • Advocacy that prioritizes your long-term well-being, not convenience.

My work is grounded in real experience, systems-level understanding, and respect for each person’s story. I do not replace medical providers. I help you work with them more effectively, confidently, and safely.
